Get Organized with To Dos

Get Organized with To Dos!

Let’s be honest – working in an audio production studio can be tough. Sometimes the sheer number of ongoing projects can be overwhelming, making it difficult to keep up with so many moving pieces and feel a sense or organization or order.

Simple, effective systems can make the difference between completing your daily checklist or falling further behind. Sonido makes it easier to manage your studio workflows through one of our simplest, yet very effective features – To Dos.

What can To Dos do for me?

Using To Dos allows you to create and manage tasks that are focused on moving projects forward, keeping tabs on sales opportunities, assigning responsibilities to team members, and much more. You have control over who is assigned a To Do as well, providing you easy delegation to get more done in less time.

It’s easy to see what To Dos have been assigned to whom, what project or record they are connected to, and you can also see which To Dos have been completed or remain in an incomplete status. And what’s more, Sonido will flag a To Do that is past the due date, helping you to visually recognize a delay and take immediate action. All these benefits help keep you from falling behind, missing deadlines, or neglecting priorities.

Can I see To Dos in action?

Let’s take a closer look at how To Do’s actually help keep things on track.

Essentially, a To Do is a task that you can create inside of Sonido. To Do’s are completely customizable, meaning that they can be structured around anything that you need – from session setup and client communications, to assigning mixing steps or checking in with a client at the end of a project. Once a To Do has been created, the assigned team members can receive automated reminders to accomplish the task before its due date. Once it’s completed, the assigned team member can mark the To Do “Compete”.

Within Sonido, To Do’s can be tied directly into projects, calendar bookings, sales leads, contacts and more. This helps to clarify what tasks need to be completed for which record – and allows you to make sure that everything is getting done.

For example, if you’re going to be running a session that needs mics setup for a full acoustic drum kit, you can create a task assigned to an intern or assistant to complete the mic setup beforehand; using Sonido, you can link this task to the calendar booking. This way you know exactly when, where, and why the mics need to be set up. You can even add additional details describing how to set up the mics!

Can I use To Dos with my whole studio team?

By delegating tasks to other team members and referencing who is responsible for what, you are able to better keep tabs on everyone’s progress, keep your team more accountable and increase productivity.

You can link To Dos with nearly every part of the Sonido platform for advanced studio management. One of the biggest benefits of having such an interconnected system is the fact that everything lives within a single software platform. Gone are the days of having to juggle a dozen different systems to keep track of all your moving pieces – Sonido streamlines your project management within an effective, intuitive, and efficient system. There are numerous additional benefits that all come together to make Sonido invaluable for your studio business.
